President of the Virginia Young Republican State Federation. The papers are concerned with the Young Republican efforts to organize Republican clubs in counties and on college campuses, win Virginia for the Dewey-Warren ticket and reorganize and prepare for a convention in 1949. The collection contains speeches, memoranda, campaign literature including issues of The Virginia Republican, The Chairman's letter of the Republican National Committee, and Grass Roots, news and views of Virginia Republicans, correspondence of Virginia Republican leaders and candidates particularly Earle Lutz, executive director of the Virginia Republican State Central Committee, a photograph of Robert A. Taft, and a scrapbook about the Republican National Convention in 1948. Frederick William McWane is a correspondent.
